Brenda Lozano began her career in the packing department at Fax Food where she worked for one year. After she left she came to Kendal and was hired into our packing department in January of 1999. Her intelligence and eagerness to move up in the company put her on a fast track to success with Kendal. In April of 1999 she was moved to a lead position of the packing department and by July of the same year she was promoted to the production supervisor for the entire facility. Brenda's ambition and devotion to the company has brought her a long way over the past 8 ½ years. She now manages the entire production floor consisting of over 200 employees in the off season and during holidays she manages over 300 employees.
Brenda was born and raised in Mexico. She got married and had two beautiful boys after moving to the United States. Her talent to lead others and ability to learn quickly has made her a very important asset to the Kendal family.
During holiday times at Kendal our production needs increase by almost double. Brenda is responsible for putting together extensive build plans for these times. She compares projections, budgets, and past holiday averages against the number of people she will need and labor hours to be worked. Her knowledge of the floral industry and ability to conform to the way Kendal has grown over the years has made her an asset to both Kendal as a whole, as well as all the employees that she manages and mentors on the production line.
Brenda spends a lot of her time motivating her workers. She encourages them and counsels them about the importance of the quality of product, how to be efficient but also safe, and how to work together as a team. Brenda really enjoys working with people and it shines through in her daily work at Kendal. She's never afraid to take on a challenge. She brings a lot of energy to our team in the way she manages and works well with others.
