Kendal Floral Supply was established in 1973 by Kenneth Baca. The business was named after Kenny and his childhood friend and then partner, Randal. In the beginning Kenny made deliveries to florists selling greens only. Over time, the business continued to expand and change with market demands. There was a shift towards fresh cut flowers and manufactured bouquets.
In 1994, Florexpo LLC, an import company, was founded after Kenny met Herbert Jordan of The Queens Flowers (www.thequeensflowers.com) on a trip to South America. Kenny and Herbert partnered to create Florexpo as a way to move product from farms in Colombia to the Western United States.
Today, Kendal Floral and Florexpo operate as independent business units within the framework of coherent autonomy.
